Prana means ‘life force’ and Ayama is defined as ‘expansion’, so Pranayama can be translated as ‘Expansion of the Life Force’.
One of the eight pillars of Patanjali’s Ashtanga Yoga, Pranayama is a central part of the path of Yoga.
These practices of conscious and systematic control of the breath improve the flow of energy in the body, giving greater mental clarity and a better understanding of the self, which is conducive to meditation.
This workshop is recommended for all who wish to deepen their practice, know its origins and understand and control their breathing.
